Turned from highly variable reclaimed roots and stumps, these urns and vases are each unique works of the turner's art. Some are smooth with Birdseye grain, while some have deep rifts and gnarled knots, or combinations of both. Great by themselves or in decorative groups, these spectacular pieces are true examples of the beauty of nature.

Each of our hand turned root vases and urns is uniquely beautiful and stands alone as a natural work of art. These fantastic pieces are turned from a species of Chinese Fir called Shan Mu, which grows abundantly in the mountains of central China. The stumps left by logging are reclaimed prior to replanting and hand-carved by local artisans into the shapes in this collection. They are beautiful decorative items that bring their own unique organic charm into the home. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind. Food-safe lacquer finish. Hand wash.
