About the Artists:

Carolyn Kinder has created a wealth of sophisticated sculptures and cutting edge home furnishing accessories in the last decade. Her unique and farsighted juxtaposition of materials, textures and patinas, has expanded the design vocabulary. Carolyn Kinder continually inspires and delights. Her pieces, whether a graceful gazelle, stately carved horse, dramatic charger or elegant art-glass vase, truly transform and elevate any room or setting.

Joe Famulari has been designing with Austin for over ten years. His "Home Collection" is a combination of traditional and eclectic decorative accessories and lighting with an emphasis on quality elegance. His work reflects his appreciation of traditional, transitional and Asian influenced designs.

Billy Moon has had a storied career in the home furnishing industry for the past two decades. Recipient of the most coveted industry award for excellence in retailing for three consecutive years, Billy has traveled the world sourcing unique materials and techniques to set his award winning designs apart.

Tom Newbury is a talented and highly respected designer and illustrator. He is a graduate of Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. As a freelance artist in New York City, he enjoyed early success creating designs and illustrations for such main line firms and publishers as Atheneum, Dell Books, British Walker, Dansk Design, Ralph Lauren, Dunn & Bradstreet, and Lever Brothers.

Will Foster began his design career while still a film student in Los Angeles by serving as the production designer for the first music video produced by MCA Records. 25 years later, he has served as principal designer on many projects throughout the United States and around the globe, including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, London, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Alexander Danel graduated from both the Moscow Industrial Arts School and the Moscow Fine Arts Academy. He earned many awards and distinctions in the Soviet Union, including best Work of the Year in 1973 for his monumental work commemorating the history of the Russian Wars, installed in Kirov.

Alice Riordan has been one of Austin’s primary sculptors for over two decades. Her range of subject matter and the moods they convey are extensive. From the sensitivity and emotion in her mother and child sculptures to the elegance of her figure studies, Alice’s sculptures are instantly recognizable.

John Cutrone Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1955, John received an AA degree in Visual Arts from Nassau County Community College and is self taught in the fields of painting, sculpture and collage. His association with Austin reaches back over two decades. John’s sculptures are known as “Life Casts” as he uses a special process to capture all the detail.

James Barnhill is known for his life studies. James Barnhill received his masters of Fine Arts degree in sculpture from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, studying under the late Peter Agostini. Working from the live model, Barnhill sculpts figures of arresting form and beauty.

Lo Jordan is an accomplished award winning sculptor, and a valued contributor to the Austin collection. Specializing in realistic sculpture, his equine and children studies capture all the detail and emotion quality that only an extensive art education and life experience in the art field can create.

Martel currently lives and works in Florida. Formerly from New York, Martel trained at the Parson School of Design, the Arts Student League and the Douglaston Art League. She also studied privately with Angelo Bono and Elaine Braun.
